If we are talking about a machine that will lost forever, then it's true that it's very difficult if not impossible for such a thing to happen.However, there are machines that can last up to 400 years, which could be categorized as perpetual. A magnetic motor for example could last hundreds of years and can provide you with up to 7.000 watts of power.
